Hi Deborah,
Thank you for dropping by planDisney with a great question! I am always happy to greet a fellow North Carolinian!
Ticket prices will depend on the number of days you plan to visit the theme parks and the type of tickets you wish to purchase. Standard theme park tickets will allow you to visit one park per day. Tickets with the
Park Hopper® Option will allow you to visit more than one theme park per day, provided the parks are not at capacity. To price your tickets, go to the
theme park ticket page, click on standard theme park ticket, then select the number of ticket days, the type of ticket option (i.e. Park Hopper®), the arrival date, and number of adult versus child tickets.
Although my family enjoys tickets with the Park Hopper® Option, we have used standard theme park tickets as well. There is plenty to do at each park. When we have been on a tighter budget, standard theme park tickets have been a good value. We typically head to the park in the morning, eat lunch in the park, and then head back to the resort for some pool time and/or rest in the afternoon. We then go back to the park later in the evening.
As you continue to plan, I hope you intend to book a
vacation package. We love the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, particularly the ones within walking distance of the theme parks. On our visit this past December, we stayed at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and loved using the walking path to Magic Kingdom. Once you have your theme park tickets and/or vacation package booked, be sure to link them in your
My Disney Experience account. Once linked, you can then make
Disney Park Pass system reservations.
I must also say that I am so happy to see that you plan to visit during the
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. This is such a special time of year to visit. My family now has a tradition of visiting during the holidays. The parks and resorts are so festive!
Deborah, happy planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
