Ahoy Awa. Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for cruising by with your question for us. I’m so excited you’re planning a sailing on one of the Disney ships for your family of 6.
Planning Disney vacation is something we’re all very passionate and enthusiastic about here at planDisney. We love researching our own family’s Disney vacations and providing advice to our friends and neighbors. We’re here to help YOU plan your unforgettable Disney cruise as well!
How much a cruise costs for your family of 6 truly depends on numerous factors. The destination, length of sailing, number of staterooms, which category of staterooms, and date of sailing all affect the price of your cruise. A shorter cruise during the off-season will be more affordable compared to a longer cruise during Christmas, for example. Also, a roomy suite will be priced higher than an inside stateroom. Most staterooms can accommodate 3 to 5 people comfortably, depending on the bed configurations. There are select Concierge suites that can accommodate up to 8 Guests, including the very exclusive Concierge Tomorrow Tower Suite on
Disney Treasure and Concierge Wish Tower Suite on
Disney Wish. If you’re open to splurging, then a Concierge suite is the way to go to fit all 6 of you in one beautiful, expansive stateroom. Otherwise, reserving 2 connecting staterooms will offer you plenty of space as well! If you decide to go with 2 connecting verandah staterooms, you can ask your room steward to open up the divider so you can enjoy a larger balcony area! I recently traveled with my extended family, and we reserved 3 adjacent verandah staterooms; we asked for all of our dividers to be opened up and we got to enjoy so much space on the balcony. It was very relaxing hanging out together while watching the waves go by!
Awa, sorry for not being able to give you a clear answer on how much it costs a family of 6 to sail on a Disney cruise. As you can see, there are so many factors that affect the price. I recommend that you check out the
Disney Cruise Line website and narrow down your travel dates,
destination, and the staterooms you would like to stay in. There’s so much to choose from and the world is your oyster! Once you’ve decided on some specifics, please feel free to stop by
planDisney with more trip-planning questions for us again.
Hope to SEA ya real soon,
Kiki
