Hey there, John. Welcome to planDisney! I'm excited to see that you are considering becoming a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder. I've been one for several years now and absolutely love the program.
John, at this time, the sale of new
Walt Disney World Annual Passes has been temporarily suspended. This is one of the programs that has not yet returned to us since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer. I do think we will see the program come back to us in the very near future. Currently, Guests with active Walt Disney World Annual Passes are being able to renew for the next year at this time. This tells me the program is here to stay. Because the Walt Disney World Annual Pass program has been put on pause, I'm not sure what it will look like or how much an Annual Pass will cost when they return. In the past, the Annual Pass program has been a tiered pricing system with the highest benefits costing the most and so on. Be sure to keep checking back over at the
Disney Parks Blog for updates. When the sale of new Walt Disney World Annual Passes opens up, that's where you'll be able to find all of the details.
Until the sale of new Annual Passes returns, John, you have the option to purchase 2 different types of tickets. You can purchase a standard theme park ticket that allows entry into one theme park per day or a park hopper ticket. Park hopping is where you are able to visit multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day. Both ticket options are great but I'm partial to park hopping. It's my favorite way to spend a Disney day. Don't forget that if you are visiting the Walt Disney World Theme Parks soon, you'll also need to make
park pass reservations after you purchase your tickets. A park pass reservation is basically like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park you'd like to visit each day. Even if you plan to park hop, you need to make park pass reservations for the initial theme park you plan on visiting each day.
John, I hope you are able to join the Walt Disney World Annual Passholder family soon. If you have any other questions about the program or anything else, please feel free to come back and
ask me.
Have a great day!
