what is the price of disney dinning plans

    Welcome to planDisney, Hobson!

You've asked such a great question about your options for a Disney Dining Plan. Let's take a look!

Currently, Walt Disney World guests on a package stay may add one of two Dining Plan options, so it's best to see what's included in each, then determine which one is the right fit for you.

To determine what the cost of each would be, I selected a one night package in September, then looked at the difference in price if I added either of the Dining Plans. For that stay, the Quick-Service Dining Plan is just over $60 per adult guest for one night. For the Table-Service plan, that is just under $100 per adult guest. For this year, kids ages 3-9 eat free!

    Now, let's talk options.

The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan is great for those who like to grab their meals on the go or don't want to be tied down to a Table-Service reservation. This plan includes 2 QS meals and 1 snack per person per night. Bonus? A Resort-Refillable Drink Mug that will keep you hydrated when back at your resort.

If you like the luxury of sitting down at least once a day, giving your feet a rest, and enjoying a more leisurely meal while chatting over the events of the day--plus the magic that's still to come--the Disney Dining Plan may be better for you. On this plan, you'll get 1 QS meal, 1 TS meal, and 1 snack per night plus that great mug as well.

In both cases, all of your meals and snacks are available to use at any time throughout your stay. Plus that Resort-Refillable Mug is a great souvenir when it's time to return home. Leftover snacks? Pick up some to keep the magic going as you travel back home. (Freshly baked pastries are my go-to!)

When determining if a Dining Plan is right for a trip, look at details such as time of arrival and departure, who is with you on that trip, if there is a particular venue you want to try, and if there is a particular event you are celebrating. For example, if we're arriving late at night then departure day has us leaving early in the morning? We won't have time for a TS meal those days. First-time visitors or littles with us? We'll book a character meal as a Table-Service. Special birthday? We'll look to celebrate with a delicious dinner featuring flavorful favorites of the person of honor. Table-Service.

Next, I'll take a look at the menus of restaurants we'd like to visit--both QS and TS--and check the price of the items we'll most likely order. Total up the cost of what you'll likely purchase, then compare that to the cost of each Dining Plan.

Hobson, as you consider all the delicious details of your upcoming trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send more questions our way. We love to help!
