I would like to price out a Disney cruise, followed by a park stay for 10 people (6 adults, 4 children). How can I do this?

Ahoy, Laurie! Welcome to planDisney! Boy oh boy, that sounds like a trip of a lifetime with so many people to share the memories and adventures! I am happy to help chart the course straight to fun!

A Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney World Land and Sea package is one of my favorite ways to vacation. You get the best of both worlds. We did a bookend stay last year where we started at Walt Disney World, set sail on a Disney Cruise, and then wrapped things up with a few more magical days back at Walt Disney World. It felt like the encore after a standing ovation!

There are a couple of ways you can price out this incredible vacation for your whole crew. You will need a minimum of two staterooms, since even the most extravagant and spacious suites, like the Concierge Tower Suites on the Disney Treasure, Disney Wish, and Disney Destiny, can only host up to eight sailors. For a group your size, splitting things up is the way to go.

One option is to price each portion of the vacation individually. On the Disney Cruise Line website, use the search tool to search by departure port, destination, or time of year. When you reach the Guests section, click to edit the number of Guests and enter the number for the first stateroom, keeping in mind that a maximum of five Guests can be booked online for one room. If you want to book a stateroom with more than that, you will need to call and speak directly with a Disney Cruise Line Cruise Specialist. Click add stateroom and enter the Guests for the next room, and continue that process until you have your sailors squared away in their staterooms. You can book up to four rooms at once online.

Once you have your Guest breakdown set the way you want it, the site will show you available cruises and pricing for each option. After pricing out the cruise portion, head over to the Walt Disney World website to explore the land portion of your adventure. There are some fantastic options on property, including Disney Vacation Club Villas that can sleep up to twelve Guests with three bedroom layouts. Rest assured, you do not need to be a Disney Vacation Club Member to book these rooms! You can select the number of nights you would like to stay before and/or after the cruise and price out that portion separately.

Your other option is to call a helpful Disney Cruise Line Cruise Specialist and have them assist you with pricing both the cruise and the pre or post cruise Walt Disney World stay. This route is helpful if you want to ensure connecting staterooms or rooms located near each other on the ship, and it gives you a chance to ask all your questions along the way. Sometimes it is nice to have a trusty first mate guiding the ship!

Laurie, I am so excited for your vacation. I can already picture the photos, the laughter, and the memories you will be making together. It is the kind of trip that becomes family legend. I hope this helps steer you in the right direction, and please sail back and visit us again if you have more questions as you continue planning. You’ve got a friend in me!

Wishing you calm seas and a warm ocean breeze!
