Hi Kara,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am excited to see that you have purchased or are considering one of the
Disney Dining Plans!
You will have parameters on a given dining plan. On the Disney Dining Plan, guests get one quick-service and one table-service meal plus two snacks per night of stay. Using the Deluxe Dining Plan, guests get three meals (either quick-service or table-service) plus two snacks per night of stay. Both plans offer a resort refillable mug.
A quick-service meal includes one entrée and one nonalcoholic beverage. A table-service meal includes one entrée (or one buffet) and one nonalcoholic beverage at breakfast. At dinner, a table-service meal includes one entrée, a dessert and a nonalcoholic beverage. Guests can get a buffet at dinner in lieu of an entrée.
When dining at a particular restaurant, you can select from the available entrées. My husband likes to get the most he can out of our dining plan, so he always orders a more expensive entrée. One of our favorite restaurants is
Be Our Guest. I have ordered the Braised Beef while my husband has ordered the Grilled Strip Steak.
Certain prix fixe menus or select items may require an additional charge. But this has never happened to us so there are plenty of entrée options. When ordering, we always double-check with the cast member who serves us to be sure. Remember that signature restaurants typically require two table-service meals per person. If you order an item not covered by the dining plan, you will have to pay the difference.
Kara, food is fantastic at the Walt Disney World resort - enjoy!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
