Welcome to planDisney, Tammy! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. February is one of my favorite times of year to travel to Walt Disney World, so I'm happy to hear that you're thinking about going. With that in mind, let's chat about how to price out your vacation!
The honest answer is that there are a lot of moving parts that determine your total price. Airfare from Ontario, California, to Orlando fluctuates based on the airline, time of year, day of the week, how early you book, whether you choose non-stop or connecting flights, and baggage choices. February can swing quite a bit depending on school breaks and event weekends, so you'll see different prices even a few days apart.
On the Walt Disney World side, your total also depends on the
Disney Resort Hotel you choose, ticket length and type, and what type of
Disney Dining Plan you choose. There are currently two dining plan options: the
Quick-Service Dining Plan and the
Disney Dining Plan. Each has a different per-night, per-guest cost, and the plan must be added for every night of your Disney Resort Hotel stay for everyone on that reservation.
Here's the easiest way to price it out: use the booking feature on the Walt Disney World website and plug in your February dates. Select one adult, pick your preferred Disney Resort Hotel, choose your theme park tickets, and then add the dining plan you want. The site will show you an itemized package total for the hotel, tickets, and dining plan so you can compare scenarios quickly. For example, a
Value Resort vs. a
Moderate Resort, Disney Dining Plan vs. Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, or base tickets vs. tickets with the
Park Hopper Option. Then, price your airfare separately by checking your favorite airline search tools to see what works for your schedule and budget.
If you'd rather have someone walk through your options with you, your best next step is to
call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and Tickets. A friendly Cast Member can price different Resort Hotels and dining plan combinations, explain what's included, and help you finalize your package.
A few money-saving tips for you while you're comparing: try shifting your dates by a day or two, look at midweek flights, and check Disney's
Special Offers page for any promos that match your travel window. With a couple of clicks or a quick phone call, you'll have clear numbers for your resort, tickets, and dining plan, and then you can add the flight that best fits your budget and schedule.
Happy planning, Tammy!
