Danielle from West Midlands Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I have previously had surgery for scoliosis. I still to this day suffer with my lower back when standing for long periods of time. I’ve read I may be eligible for an access pass, would this be correct please? If so, how could I go about getting one. Thanks

    Well hello there, Princess Danielle!

What a beautiful name you have there! I think it's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious that you've come to planDisney with your question. Making the most of all of the attractions at Disneyland can be a bit tricky for some of us.  But don't worry! I, your friendly expert panelist, is here to give you practically perfect advice! At The Happiest Place On Earth, everyone is welcome with open arms and a spoonful of sugar.

The Disability Access Service (DAS) pass is specifically designed for guests who have difficulty waiting in regular queues. With the DAS pass, you can skip the long queues and return when the wait is shorter. No medical documentation is required. Since your visit is coming up this month, it's a great time to request a live video chat to pre-register for the DAS. You can pre-register between 2 to 30 days before your visit. During the chat, you'll be asked questions to help make your visit smoother and more enjoyable. If you prefer to call Disability Services directly, their phone number is (407) 560-2547, or you can email them at disability.services@disneyland.com. They're always happy to lend a helping hand.

And Danielle, don't forget that the Disneyland Resort also offers wheelchair and mobility scooter rentals, which can make getting around the park much easier. These rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you’re interested, make sure you’re at the park just before opening. Overall, just be sure to let the cast members know about any specific needs or limitations you may have. The Guest Relations cast are trained to assist people with disabilities and are always happy to help.

Oh, and have you downloaded the Disneyland Mobile App yet, Danielle? It's practically perfect in every way! You'll need it to scan your theme park tickets upon entry. Plus, your DAS Advance will be linked to your account, where you can select return times for attractions throughout your day. It's a jolly good idea to get familiar with the app before your visit and make the most of your jolly holiday! One of my favorite things to do in this app is place mobile orders for meals and snacks to feed the birds (and myself). This means you won't have to wait in long lines for food and can stay ahead of the crowds when you're ready to eat.

I'm afraid it's time for me to go, Danielle. But remember, if you need any more help, just fly back to me here and I'll be happy to offer tips and tricks to make your Disneyland visit even more enjoyable. And my name should be easy to remember!

    Chim Chim Cher-ee!
