Previously stayed at Poly in a standard room that faced the marina. Planning a trip for 2019 & appears we can now request a pool/marina view at increased price. So, what views are considered standard views now? Love this new option. Thanks so much.

    Aloha, Patricia!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love seeing questions from my fellow South Carolinians! I also love Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, so I am happy to be answering your question.

A "Standard View" room could offer you a number of different views, depending on the longhouse you are assigned. Generally, most views are of landscaping, or interior walkways, with some still offering partial views of the Marina or one of the two pools. However, there are also a few Standard View rooms that have views of the parking area (mainly the backside of the Aotearoa & Rarotonga Longhouses). You are always able to submit a Longhouse request to avoid potentially receiving a parking area view, but it's not a guarantee.

Another option to consider is Disney's Polynesian Villas. These rooms offer split-bath designs and kitchenettes that are super helpful when traveling as a family. If you should choose this side of the Resort, Standard View rooms located on the south side of Pago Pago are of a parking area . All other room views are of landscaping, walkways, or the Lava Pool.

I hope this is helpful, Patricia! Please let me know if you should have any additional questions as you continue planning your vacation. I am here to help!

    Mahalo!
