All previous visits we could wear our water shoes/socks on all the Water Park slides except for the big drops (aka Summit Plummet) ... can we still keep our water socks on while sliding?

    Hi there, Phyllis!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

I'm so happy to hEAR you're planning a SPLASHTACULAR day at a Walt Disney World water park! There's no better way to cool off in the Florida heat than by having FROSTY fun at Disney's Blizzard Beach! The "melting" ski resort has lots of fun attractions, centered around Mount Gushmore. There are attractions for all ages to enjoy, including water slides, a chairlift ride, a kiddie play area, a play area for older kids, a lazy river, and a large wave pool! My personal favorite is Cross Country Creek, the 3000-foot-long lazy river that winds around the base of Mount Gushmore. The river runs through caves, under bridges, and past the cabin of the park's mascot, Ice Gator. He's holed up inside his cabin with a cold, and if you pass by when he sneezes, you might get a chilly surprise splash!

Guests are welcome to wear water shoes throughout the park, though you may be asked to remove them and hold them in your hands when you experience select attractions. I know my water shoes were a must to traverse the warm walkways between attractions! Lifeguards at each attraction will be able to inform you what you can and cannot bring with you as you ride.

Make sure to stop by and pick up some Mini Donuts to enjoy when it's time for a snack. The delicious treats come as a dozen or a half-dozen, and you can find them at the Joffrey's Coffee stand near LottaWatta Lodge!

I hope you have a SPLISH-SPLASHING good time when you visit Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park.
