    Hi ! on previous trips we have bought a barcode sticker at the water parks to reuse our refillable mug from Typhoon Lagoon. Is this still possible or because of the new chip technology do we have to buy a new mug ?

    Hi Rassa!

    The Walt Disney World water parks now have the Rapid Refill mug stations that use the RFID chips in the mugs.  We brought our old barcoded mugs with us when they first introduced the new machines and were able to trade them for an RFID chipped mug and paid the discounted daily refill rate instead of full price for a new mug.  I can't guarantee that they will still do the trade, but it could be worth a shot to save a few extra bucks.  We kept a couple of the old barcoded mugs for sentimental reasons.
