Hello there, Tammy! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
MagicBands never deactivate on their own. So unless you deactivated it after a previous trip, it actually still should be good to go. But we can check using the
MyDisneyExperience app to make sure. If you have the app already downloaded on your smartphone, just open the app in sign in if prompted. Then, select the three horizontal lines at the bottom right-hand of your screen. This is going to open up the navigation menu. From there, you'll scroll down until you see the "My Profile" option and you'll want to click that. This will take you to a new page where you should see all kinds of options including one for "MagicBands & Cards" and you'll want to click on that option. To check to see if your MagicBand is still active you'll then select "Your MagicBands & Cards" and to see if someone else you are connected to is active you'll select "Friends' MagicBands & Cards". When you select that, it will bring up a list of all of your MagicBands and cards and you'll notice it say active or inactive depending on the status. If your MagicBand is listed as inactive you can actually just click on it and select the "Activate" button. This will reinstate all of the features of the MagicBand for your upcoming trip. If your MagicBand is still listed as active, you don't need to do anything else to it, you are good to go. You will do the same thing for your friends and family list to make sure your traveling party all has active MagicBands as well!
I hope this helps, Tammy. If you have any other questions before your trip, I hope you'll stop back by and
ask me. Have fun!
