Welcome Brandon!
I enjoyed a stay at Shades of Green, an Armed Forces Recreation Center (AFRC) on Walt Disney World Resort property, just a few weeks ago and am happy to help you untangle this technical knot to get you on your way to a magical vacation. Most importantly - my deepest gratitude to you, or the related service member that qualifies you to stay at this special resort, for your service to our nation.
I spoke to Shades of Green today on your behalf, and they guided me through the best steps to ensure you have everything cleanly linked. Here’s what you can do:
- First, please contact Shades of Green to be sure everyone in your traveling party is listed on the room reservations. Their phone number and email are at the bottom of your reservation email, or you can find additional phone numbers here. Please note that the sponsor will be listed on each room reservation, even if only physically staying in one, but you should still be able to add everyone else.
- Next, confirm that everyone in your traveling party is listed in your My Disney Experience Friends & Family list and successfully linked.
- Finally, link your Shades of Green reservation to your My Disney Experience account using a computer (not the mobile app). You’ll need the reservation number at the top of your Shades of Green confirmation email.
Once everyone is added and you see your room reservation appear in My Disney Experience, you will be ready to enjoy the benefits of staying there. You may
make dining reservations for the length of your stay 60 days in advance of arrival. I like to be logged into my account and ready to go just before 6:00am EST on that magical day for the best availability of those must-do dining locations.
On vacation, you’ll be eligible to enjoy both
Early Theme Park Entry and
Extended Evening Hours. I find these are our most efficient park touring times with less crowds. I like to be at the theme park front entrance 30 minutes before the Early Theme Park Entry advertised time; all guests will then be allowed into the park but there is another checkpoint for resort guests to enjoy select attractions. If everyone is linked correctly as guided here, you’ll have no trouble zipping through to your first attraction before any lengthy wait times.
I love the generously sized rooms at Shades of Green and the convenient location. I hope it’s a relaxing home base for you during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Please bring us any additional questions you have as you finalize your trip details, we’re happy to help.
With gratitude,
Amy
