If you are planning on booking a stay using your DVC Membership, you will be able to transfer your dining, touring and other reservations over to your new resort reservation. Think of it as if you are switching your stay from one resort to another. When you book your DVC stay, tell the Cast Member at Member Services that you'd like your reservations attached to your new resort reservations. Easy! Regarding any money you've paid into your current resort reservation, if you've booked your reservation through a travel agent, check with him or her for specific policies. If you've booked directly through Walt Disney World, however, and you've booked a room-only stay, you'll be entitled to a full refund as long as you cancel your resort reservation at least five days prior to check-in. If, however, you've booked a package, there are other penalties which apply to a cancellation which occurs within 45 days of check-in. In short, your resort reservation is completely separate from your other types of reservations, so changes can be made to the one without affecting the others. Best wishes on your decision!
