Hey there, hi there, ho there, Shirley, and welcome back to planDisney. Sometimes the best souvenirs are the smallest souvenirs and with our pressed coin books we love collecting these inexpensive memories.
Once upon a time, a "Policeman Mickey" pressed quarter was at Disney's Old Key West Resort but was retired years ago. You may find this elongated coin for resale on the internet but as of now, it is not available at
Walt Disney World Resort. In general,
elongated coins and pressed penny locations and designs are subject to change so it may be possible that a Disney Character in a police or security uniform will magically appear. When you are at the theme parks you can use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to help locate pressed coin machines.
For now, my advice is to do a web search for "pressed coins at Walt Disney World Resort" and websites like presscoins.com and themouseforless.com will populate. They have regularly updated checklists that I have used when searching for a specific design.
planDisney Pro Tip: We carry our coins to be pressed in small candy tubes or prescription medicine bottles. This keeps them stacked and easy to transport then we transfer them to our coin books.
Shirley, I hope this information is helpful as you continue to build your pressed coin collection. Please
write me back directly with any follow-up questions.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
