We will be presenting our kids with the news of an early January trip to Disney on Christmas morning! I wanted to give them loaded wrist bands, but are not staying on site. Can we get wrist bands with tickets if not on site?

    Hello, Catherine!

I love your idea of presenting your Mouseketeers with MagicBands Christmas morning! Both the Shop Disney Parks mobile app and the online Disney Store carry an assortment of MagicBands that you can link to My Disney Experiences accounts. Keep in mind that since you are not staying at a Disney hotel, your MagicBands will not have charging privileges, but they can be used to access your admission tickets and even collect Disney PhotoPass photos.

Since it is so close to Christmas and package delivery could be an issue, you might want a backup plan. You could create a scavenger hunt for your Mouseketeers, and the last clue could be to find MagicBands or Disney Gift Cards. If you decide to purchase the gift cards, then once you arrive your Mouseketeers can buy a retail MagicBand or design their own with a favorite character and color using the gift card as payment. Currently, you can personalize MagicBands at Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. in Magic Kingdom, in Disney's Hollywood Studio at Launch Bay Cargo and Marketplace Co-Op - D-Tech on Demand in Disney Springs. What better way to kick off a vacation than creating a one-of-a-kind MagicBand!

Wishing you many magical vacation memories!
