Well, hello there, Kate. Thanks for reaching out to us here at planDisney!
With the most recent changes, Guests who qualify for the
Disability Access Service, or DAS, can no longer make selections ahead of their visit. However, they are still able to register 30 days in advance of their visit via a
virtual chat with a Cast Member and can make their first DAS selection once they've scanned into a theme park. Then, they can make their next selection 10 minutes after redeeming their last one.
Speaking of updates, you may want to check out the recently revamped
Accessibility page of the Walt Disney World Resort website. The sheer amount of services and the resort's commitment to making everyone feel welcomed and included is quite inspiring. I
especially love the
Accessibility Planning Guide & Recommendations!
Since it looks like you'll be visiting in November, get excited for some
festive decorations and treats that will likely be available around the middle of the month. Since both
Magic Kingdom Park and
Disney's Hollywood Studios start
their specially ticketed holiday parties on November 8th and November 9th, 2024 respectively, it's safe to say that those two parks will be decked out in their holiday best for the parties. And while there will be exclusive treats at those events, this is around the time that holiday-themed treats start to make their way all across the resort. You can
check out last year's Foodie Guide for an idea of what
might be available
this holiday season!
Kate, best wishes for a wonderful visit. If you have any other questions,
feel free to reach out!
If you do your best each and every day, good things are sure to come your way,
Matt
