Ahoy, Laura! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your questions about
Disney Cruise Line to ensure smooth sailing once you are out at sea.
When you have multiple prescriptions to bring with you on vacation, I understand that lugging a bunch of big pill bottles around can be a pain. Unfortunately, Disney Cruise Line’s official policy is that all prescription medications must be in their
original container. When sailing to multiple ports of call and traveling in international waters, having your pills in their original packaging is the safest way to go. Plus, in the case of an emergency or any unexpected travel delays, having your prescriptions readily available can be a life saver.
However, as someone who takes daily medications myself, I understand wanting to keep yourself organized and not having that moment of panic where you cannot remember whether you already took your pills or not. Although you should pack your medications in their original containers, you can certainly bring a pill organizer with you to help you keep track once you are onboard.
I know that’s not the answer you were hoping for, but it is the policy for safety reasons. Enjoy your upcoming cruise and feel free to reach back out to
planDisney if you have any other questions. Happy sailing!
