Can I pre-register my son for the Jedi Training at Disney's Hollywood Studios or do we have to wait until we get to the park and hope for the best? Also, does anyone know when Star Tours reopens? The site only says 2011. We are going in March.

    Hi Kleckner,

Your trip is oh so close!  They do not take advanced reservations for the Jedi Training Academy (JTA). The number of participants is limited & they start registration first thing in the morning & stop once the spots are filled for the day (they usually fill up fast during peak seasons).  If this is on your "must do" list, head that way first.  Children must be present with an adult to register.  Cast Members will ask potential Padawans a few of questions to make sure they can follow some basic directions.   Check the Times Guide as you enter Disney's Hollywood Studios for JTA performance times.

The all new Star Tours opens on May 20, 2011 to kick off the 2011 Star Wars Weekends held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 20th - June 12th, 2011.  I am sorry that you'll just miss it by a few weeks.

If you are big Star Wars fans and looking for some Star Wars related things to do, you are still in luck. I just answered a question for another Guest on this topic, click here to see that answer.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
