    How can we pre-plan how we will get from our resort to each park or other destinations (Disney Springs, Boardwalk, etc.)? Is there a route map of each transport option?

    Hi Kate, 

    Thanks for sending your question to us here at planDisney.  I am happy to see you are beginning to plan a visit to Walt Disney World Resort, and are looking to use the complimentary transportation available to guests throughout Walt Disney World Resort!

    Prior to my visits, I like to have a general idea of our daily itinerary, including transportation options.  Depending on which Walt Disney World Resort you will be staying at, there are multiple modes of transportation, including the Monorail, a variety of water transportation, the Disney Skyliner, as well as bus transportation.  Whichever Walt Disney World Resort hotel you choose, there will be a transportation option for each Theme Park and Disney Springs.  By clicking here, you will be able to discover more about Disney Transportation, including maps for drop off and pick up locations.  Transportation begins approximately 45 minutes prior to Theme Park opening and will remain open up to an hour after Theme Park Closing.  Please keep in mind that with the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, some Resort Hotels, attractions and experiences are temporarily closed.  Check out the Disney Resort Hotels Know Before You Go, prior to your visit, in order to have the most up to date information to help plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  

    Once you have decided which Walt Disney World Resort you are planning on staying at during your vacation, simply look under the amenities tab and select Resort Transportation.  This section will explain what transportation is available at that specific Resort.  Once you have made your Resort selection, please feel free to send us another question with details about your Resort Hotel along with more specific locations and we would be happy to help point you in the right direction!

    If you download the My Disney Experience App, it provides guests with routes between Theme Parks, as well as multiple stop locations for the various modes of transportation.  One of the features that I find handy is the bus schedule.  The App gives guests real time information from their resort hotel as to when the next bus for each Theme Park and Disney Springs will arrive, taking the guess work and waiting out of your departure.
