I would like to prepay the tip on my Disney cruise on July 25. How would I do that as well as put some credit on my reservation. Thank you.

Ahoy there, Erin! Welcome back to planDisney. I'm so glad you thought to cruise our way again as you prepare to set sail in just a few days!

I have good news and bad news for you, Erin. The good news is that your cruise is just a couple of days away! The bad news is that in order to pre-pay the gratuities for your Disney Cruise you must do so at least three days prior to your sail date.

I'd love to explain the process for doing this so that the next time you set sail with Captains Mickey and Minnie, you will be prepared. In order to request to pay your gratuities prior to sailing, you need to call Disney Cruise Line and speak to a Guest Services agent. If you work with a travel agent, you can ask your agent to take care of that for you as well. For this cruise, your gratuities will be added to your stateroom account. If you'd like to adjust your gratuity amount, I recommend that you speak with a Crew Member at the Guest Services desk prior to the final evening of your voyage. The lines can build on that final evening with other Guests trying to adjust their gratuities. I recommend that you take a peek at the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to chat with a Guest Services Crew Member or to make an appointment to meet in person at the Guest Services Desk.

In order to add some onboard credit to your reservation, you can do so by visiting the Onboard Gifts and Amenities website, hovering your mouse over the Shop by Category menu, and clicking Onboard Credit on the far right. If you add credit to your reservation within two days of sailing, you will not receive a printed card in your stateroom detailing the amount and recipient, but the credit will be applied to the stateroom account.

Let's once again focus on the good news... you are about to board a Disney Cruise! I can't wait for you to be welcomed aboard and experience all of the fun and adventure that lies ahead. Have an incredible vacation and please visit us again in the future. If you plan to set sail again in the next 24 months, you can use your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app while onboard to book a placeholder for your next cruise and enjoy a discount. My pals and I would love to help you plan for your next sailing!

    Bon Voyage,

    Adrianna
