Ahoy, Barbara!
Welcome aboard planDisney! I can practically hear the hauntingly happy tunes of
Halloween on the High Seas calling your name—it’s almost time to trade pumpkin spice for ocean breeze! The ship will be decked out with Mickey pumpkins, costumed Characters, and plenty of spook-tacular surprises. What a boo-tiful time to set sail!
The great news is that Disney makes pre-paying gratuities as smooth as a sail on the Seven Seas Lagoon. If you booked your cruise through a travel agent, you’ll want to contact them directly to have the gratuities added to your reservation. If you booked your voyage yourself, just open the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, tap your reservation, and select “View All” under the “Next Steps” section. There, you’ll find a tile labeled “Gratuities” that allows you to take care of it right from your device. And if your technology decides to go Under the Sea for a bit, a
quick call to the Disney Cruise Line Cast Members will get everything squared away—they’re real-life magic makers when it comes to helping Guests get back on course.
I personally love pre-paying gratuities ahead of time—it’s like charting your course before you ever leave port! It helps me stay on budget so that once I’m onboard, I can simply sit back, enjoy the sea breezes, and let the Disney magic take the helm. Just keep in mind that pre-paid gratuities can be added up to 3 days before you set sail.
Another tip from my own voyages: bring along some cash. It’s helpful for tipping porters at the terminal when your bags are whisked away faster than Rapunzel letting down her hair. It also comes in handy when
showing appreciation to Port Adventure guides or when your incredible Dining Team and Stateroom Host go above and beyond to make your voyage extra magical—which they always seem to do!
I hope this helps you cruise into kindness knowing your gratuities are taken care of and your crew will be feeling the love from bow to stern. It’s one of those little details that makes your voyage smoother than a sail through calm seas!
Sea ya real soon with boo-tiful nights and frightfully fun days,
Dustin
