Ahoy there, William. Thanks for taking the time to stop by planDisney with your question for us.
Crew Members on Disney cruise ships truly go above and beyond to make sure Guests have a magical experience. My family loves Disney Cruise Line for this very reason. They work hard around-the-clock and deserve to be paid in return in the form of gratuities. You can prepay gratuities up to 3 days prior to your sailing by logging on to the
Disney Cruise Line website. At the top of the page, under “Already Booked”, select “My Reservations”, log into your account, then scroll down a bit and click on “Add Pre-Paid Gratuities”. By prepaying gratuity ahead of your sailing, you don’t have to worry about it once you’re on your cruise.
We also bring extra cash, including small bills, with us when we cruise.
Room service is (mostly) complimentary; we usually order a carafe of hot coffee to be delivered in the morning to enjoy while getting ready for the day. We give the room service server a small cash tip. Towards the end of your sailing, your room steward will place a few envelopes on your bed during evening turn-down service. While not required, you may opt to give extra gratuity to your dining room servers or room steward for a job well done.
If you have more trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to stop by
planDisney again.
Bon voyage,
Kiki
