While preparing for our trip I accidently to the extra piece off of my husbands magic band instead of my son's now it won't fit. What can I do?

    Hello Justin!

I am excited that you are planning a Walt Disney World vacation! I love using a MagicBand as my key to unlock the magic on my Walt Disney World vacations. I have over 50 MagicBands, so you can see that I love them!

I have great news for you because if it is a MagicBand 2 or the new MagicBand+, the puck or disc (the electronics and battery) of the MagicBand is removable and can be swapped with the same type of MagicBand. All you have to do is remove the two bolts on the back of the MagicBand with a small Phillips Head Screwdriver and remove the retainer ring from each MagicBand. The MagicBand puck can be pushed out and reinserted into the other MagicBand by reversing the removal process. I have done this with some of my MagicBands to mix and match different colors of the puck and the band. The original MagicBand does not have a removable puck, so it would not work for these MagicBands. You also have the option to purchase a new MagicBand 2 or MagicBand+ at shopDisney and have them mailed to your home before your Walt Disney World vacation.

I hope that your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is magical in every way!
