Hey there, hi there, ho there, Bethany! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be here before you know it. Let's chat about making plans for the whole gang!
There are three of us in my Mouseketeer crew - Mom, Dad, and one 11-year-old Donald Duck fan - and we make all of our plans from one
My Disney Experience account that's in my name. My husband and I both have the
My Disney Experience app on our phones so either of us can make or change plans for the family at any given time. Since we pretty much always visit Walt Disney World together, this method works fine for us. Even if we decide to split up and do something different, the ability to choose different Guests for each activity still makes having one account the easiest choice for my family.
It sounds like your kids are all age 13 or older, so you can create a separate My Disney Experience account for them if you like. I think you may consider giving them their own accounts if they're traveling without you sometime, such as a school trip or visiting with a friend and their family. In that case, you may want to make sure they can use features like
Mobile Ordering for food or making
Disney Park Pass theme park reservations from their own accounts. Otherwise, I just think it's easier to manage everyone on one account if you're usually traveling together. You might want to let everyone have the app on their phones, but you can still have the whole family working off of the same account. Aside from being super convenient to have everything in one place, you'll also have a way to keep track of everyone's plans if you want to do different things. Then everyone can choose their own adventure!
I hope this helps you kick your planning into high gear, Bethany. Have a magical time at Walt Disney World, and please do come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
