Hi!! I am preparing to go to WDW from April 21-27. We have park hopper tickets, and I was wondering if I am able to ride Tron in the morning and Cosmic Rewind in the evening? And if so, how! Thank you!

Hey Howdy Hey Haley and welcome back to planDisney!

Haley, it sounds like you have a day full of epic adventures with your plans for taking a trip to the Grid and then saving the galaxy. This is totally possible to do, just knowing the right path forward is the key! Not to worry because you have a friend in me to show you the way!

At this point, both TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT can only be experienced with either a Virtual Queue or by the purchase of an Individual Lightning Lane selection. Before we get too far into the strategy, make sure your Theme Park Ticket has the Park Hopper Option to it. This will be the only way to experience both attractions on the same day with access to each park. To experience each attraction, you will have to do some form of access with the Virtual Queue system and/or purchase Individual Lightning Lanes. Let's break down each scenario.

On the day of your visit, at 7:00 AM you will be able to join the Virtual Queue for either attraction. I would start with TRON in Magic Kingdom. Log into your My Disney Experience app a few minutes early and from your home screen you should be able to scroll and see a heading for Virtual Queues and then the option to "Joint a Virtual Queue". You will be able to select the attraction and your party you are planning for. When the clock strikes 7, be sure to select the option to join the queue and you should be assigned a boarding group. You will also be given an approximate callback time for your experience. Depending on when this time is will determine your next step.

Virtual Queues for each attraction open at 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The catch for the later request is that you have to be in the Theme Park of the attraction to join the queue. If your boarding group for TRON will get you in and out of the experience with enough time to catch the Walt Disney World Monorail over to EPCOT, then you will have a shot at joining the Virtual Queue for Guardians at 1. If you find yourself with a later boarding group time and unable to make it to EPCOT by 1 PM or you just do not want to rush, that is where Individual Lightning Lanes come into play.

If you are staying onsite at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you will have the option to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane starting at 7:00 AM. When purchasing, you will have the option to select a time for your experience. You should be able to time this for when you think you will be in EPCOT and the stress to get there should be a lot less than trying to get the Virtual Queue option.

There you have it, two options for experiencing both attractions on the same day. Both of these attractions are so much fun and amazing. Guardians is my new favorite thrill ride and I cannot visit EPCOT without the experience. I hope you have so much fun on your visit and enjoy each. If you have any further questions, feel free to stop by and let us know, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
