Hi, Daniel!
Hooray, your cruise is just a few weeks away! It sounds like you are getting ready for a festive cruise as you
decorate your stateroom door. Some evenings, I just enjoy walking around seeing how creative everyone is as they get in the cruise spirit with fancy door decor.
The doors on the
Disney Destiny measure approximately 77 inches x 28 inches. The plaque with the stateroom number measures approximately 4 inches tall by 9 inches wide. While I realize there is also a peep hole and the decorative rivets that you mention, I do not have any official numbers to share. However, if you do a quick search online, you will see what other guests have posted per their measurements. I cannot guarantee they will be exact, but that will probably be your best option.
When making your door decorations, remember that it is just a bit of extra pixie dust you are adding to your sailing. Do not worry about an inch here or there, it is the overall magic so just have fun with it! Please refrain from using any kind of tape as this may damage the paint so stick with magnets to secure your decorations.
Once onboard, your stateroom should be ready around 1:30pm. Until then, take time to explore the ship, enjoy lunch, and browse through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to see all the fun activities planned for your sailing. If you pack your door decor in your carry-on, you may start to decorate your stateroom door as soon as you arrive at your room. If you pack your decorations in your checked luggage, please know it may take until later in the afternoon for your bags to be delivered to your door.
Have a great time preparing for your magical sailing with
Disney Cruise Line. Bon Voyage!
Cathy
