I am preparing to make ADRs and was wondering about 3 15 month olds and how to accommodate them. Our party will be 9 in total and Im guessing partys of 8 will have more options. Do you think generally restaurants will accommodate one extra toddler?

    Hiya Chris!

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your dining reservation question! I absolutely love that you're thinking ahead, especially with a big party! As someone who’s planned many magical meals with my own crew of Mouseketeers (and extended family in tow), I totally understand how important it is to get those dream dining reservations, like Cinderella’s Royal Table or a delicious rooftop breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace.

So, let’s dig right into your question. When booking dining reservations, I always recommend including everyone in your party, even the tiniest Mouseketeers. Yep—even if they aren’t ordering a meal! Including them ensures Cast Members can have the proper table setup ready with high chairs, booster seats, or extra space as needed. If you arrive with more Guests than you have reserved, it may not be possible to accommodate the change (especially during peak times), or you may have to wait a bit longer to accommodate the additional guests (no guarantee). And trust me, I know from experience, tiny tummies don’t like to wait when they’re hungry!

Now, if you're finding it tricky to get a reservation for your entire party of 9 through the My Disney Experience app, try splitting your group into two smaller parties (say, 4 and 5). When you arrive, check in a bit early—about 15 to 20 minutes—and kindly let the Cast Member at the host stand know you’re together. While it’s not guaranteed, they’ll do their best to seat you nearby or maybe even together. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-best-case-scenario!

And here’s a helpful tip straight from one Disney-loving planner to another: it’s much easier to remove a Guest from a dining reservation than to add one. So always include all the members of your party when you book, especially the littles!

You're already off to a great start by planning early, and I just know you’re going to make some practically perfect dining memories! If you have any more questions as your vacation approaches, feel free to stop by and ask. We’re always here to help!

    See ya real soon!
