I pre-ordered magic bands are they already setup? If yes, we have 2 people in our party with the same first/last name - how do I check and make sure they are assigned to the correct individual?

    Hello, Kathleen!

Welcome to planDisney! In just a few more sleeps you will begin your adventure as a part of the World’s Most Magical Celebration. You will experience so many new attractions and entertainment created just for this event. Get your Walkman out and dance your way over to EPCOT to save the world on the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Get ready to blast off into space on a mission to save the world. If you are successful in saving the world, you deserve a treat. Check out Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Sips and Bites Guide to the most delectable entrees, desserts, and cocktails available during the celebration in the parks and in the resorts.

One of my favorite perks of staying in a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel is getting to choose new MagicBands. This wearable piece of technology does more than just unlock the door to your hotel room. You can also charge food and merchandise back to your room account. You can also use them to access your theme park admission tickets, redeem Lightning Lane selections, and add photos to your Memory Maker account.

When you order your MagicBands at the pre-arrival discounted price as a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel Guest, your MagicBands will already be linked to your My Disney Experience accounts when you receive them. Any information that you have linked to your account can be accessed with your MagicBands. When you placed your order, each member of your party had the option to choose a style of MagicBand that suited them. Most options represent a particular character or attraction, while others pay homage to a Disney Resort. Hopefully, the people in your party with the same name ordered different styles of MagicBand. They also could have chosen to customize their MagicBand with a nickname instead of their given name. This customization would appear on the inside of the MagicBand. However, if they chose to have matching bands and did not customize their names, there is a way to decipher which MagicBand belongs to each Guest.

Log into your My Disney Experience account and click on the My MagicBands and Cards tab. Scroll down to the Manage MagicBands and Cards section. You will see a list of all active MagicBands for each person in your travel party. Match the 12-digit alpha-numeric code listed on the inside of the MagicBand with each person in your travel party. The code will be listed under their name. This will help you determine which MagicBand belongs to the correct Guest in your party.

I am wishing you all the fun and all the magic during your trip.

    See ya real soon,
