Disney vacation questions. We love answering each and every one of them!
MagicBands purchased at any other Disney location, including
shopDisney, are not eligible for a discount related to your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation package. Furthermore, you can't retroactively apply a discount to an existing MagicBand order and
MagicBands are usually not able to be returned or exchanged. If you'd like to use the pre-order feature through your
My Disney Experience account to purchase
another MagicBand with a discount, click "Get Started" on the "My MagicBand and Cards" page that can be found under the My Disney Experience menu. But don't worry, no matter what you choose, you should not have an issue linking your MagicBand(s) to your My Disney Experience account.
If you go the route of pre-ordering another MagicBand through your My Disney Experience account, it should be automatically linked to your account. To check this, log into your account and select "My MagicBands and Cards" under the My Disney Experience menu. Scroll down to "Manage MagicBands and Cards" and find and click your name. Here is where any MagicBands connected to you are listed and you should see the pre-ordered MagicBand there. To confirm, you can match the ID number listed on the site to the back of your MagicBand.
If for some reason it's not listed there and/or you'd like to link your original MagicBand, you can do so by inputting the ID Number on the back of the MagicBand on
the linking page and following the prompts. It should then be listed in your account, connected to your ticket media, and you should be all set to go! And if it's a MagicBand+, get ready for some magic when watching
nighttime spectaculars and waving to
some of the statues around the resort!
