Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, David. It sounds like you're planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! How exciting.
My family always has groceries delivered to our Disney Resort hotel! We usually order a case of water, snacks, on-the-go breakfast items, fresh fruit, and coffee creamer from Garden Grocer, an Orlando-based grocery delivery service. To answer your question, yes, you can order groceries prior to your arrival. However, it's not possible to have them in your room upon check-in. When your groceries are delivered to your Disney Resort hotel, Bell Services will hold them for you until you're ready for them. They'll even refrigerate any perishable items! You may either pick them up from Bell Services to take back to your room or you can request that they be delivered to your room.
If you request a delivery, you must be present to receive the groceries and you'll be charged a $6 delivery fee (delivery fees are subject to change at any time). While not required, tipping the Cast Member who delivers your order is certainly appreciated!
I try to order all the grocery items we could possibly need for our Disney vacations, but I inevitably forget something. Luckily, all Disney Resort hotel gift shops have a selection of grocery items. I've been able to purchase sunscreen, milk, diapers - you name it!
Before your arrival, be sure to review the
Know Before You Go section of the Walt Disney World Resort website. It has lots of helpful information about the health and safety measures being taken in
and out of the theme parks.
Thanks for stopping by, David. Please let us know if you have any other questions! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
Ashley
