We have pre-opening dining reservations at Crystal Palace. If the park isn't open yet will we be able to get around the Hub to get to the line for Mine Train before rope drop without having to go back to the Hub or will we have to go back?

    Hi Jennifer!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for stopping by with such a great question.

Starting your Magic Kingdom Park day with an early morning breakfast at The Crystal Palace is perfect! Not only will you and your family get to enjoy dining with Winnie the Pooh and a few of his Pals, but you will also get to indulge in delicious and plentiful buffet offerings. I love the omelet station, and I’ll admit that I find myself overindulging on the great selection of freshly baked pastries. Oh, and did I forget to mention Mickey-shaped waffles? If you’re anything like me, you will leave feeling fulfilled and full of energy, ready to tackle your magical day.

It is essential to plan for enough time to not only enjoy your meal but also to meet all the characters. When I plan for character meals, I allow for at least one hour to make sure my family gets the full experience.

While there is nothing official, it has been my experience that if you can finish your meal before theme park opening, you will be directed to the area in front of Cinderella Castle. While here, you can witness the opening ceremonies and enjoy the Let the Magic Begin show. At the conclusion of the show, guests will be allowed to enter the rest of the theme park to experience the most magical place on earth!

Don’t forget to book your FastPass+ selections in advance of your visit. FastPass+ selections can be made beginning 60 days before your visit for Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests and 30 days in advance if you are staying outside of the Walt Disney World Resort. When making your FastPass+ selections, if there is an attraction that you want to experience, I highly recommend using a FastPass+ selection for this.

I hope that you and your family have a magical time!
