Hiya Colleen,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited to chat about Walt Disney World’s newest tool for getting the most magic out of your days in theme parks,
Lightning Lane Premier Pass! Before you decide to get “faster than fast, quicker than quick,” let’s break down what experiences you can access at the theme parks.
With Premier Pass, you get one-time entry to each of the lightning lane experiences at the theme parks. Currently, the lightning lane experiences include attractions and shows but do not include access to reserved parade space, fireworks viewing spots, or character meet and greets. However, offerings are subject to change, so this could change before your visit. I recommend checking the list of experiences before purchasing and arriving at the theme parks to confirm what will be available.
Before I let you go, Colleen, let me tell you a little secret: my two-year-old isn’t the only one in my house who isn’t great at waiting; my whole family gets a little antsy when we have to wait, so I’ve developed strategies to improve our experiences for parades, fireworks, and meet and greets. Let’s start with parades, if you are looking for a great spot to catch the
Festival of Fantasy, I recommend Frontierland. The parades kicks off in Frontierland, so I usually like to pick a spot near Country Bear Musical Jamboree to avoid the popular Main Street, USA locations.
For fireworks, nothing is more magical for me than combining reserved space to watch fireworks and all you care to enjoy treats. With
fireworks dessert parties that is exactly what you get! These parties are an additional expense but always well worth it for me (especially if you have smaller Mouseketeers). Lastly, I always recommend reserving
character dining experiences for character meet and greets. Rarely can I get my Prince Charming to wait in line for meet and greets, but I can always get him to enjoy delicious food. Character dining gives you a meet and greet without waiting in a long line!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
