The Premier lightning passes, that available by staying on Disney resorts right now. Will they be available for purchase for people not staying at resorts?

    Hi there, Aravindan!

It's always a treat to help one of Mickey's Floridian neighbors prepare for their next visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney!

As mentioned by my pal Korliss, Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass are available for purchase by all Walt Disney World Resort Guests regardless of where they plan to stay during their visit. At this time, however, the only Guests able to purchase Lightning Lane Premier Passes are those staying at Disney Resort Collection hotels as well as the Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green Resort. While I am not aware of any plan to change this policy in the future, it is worth noting that the Lightning Lane Premier Pass webpage refers to 'piloting the rollout...with very limited quantities', so there is a chance the system could be expanded as it becomes more established. I encourage you to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog in the coming months as this would likely be where the news drops first.

Since you're clearly interested in maximizing magic while minimizing waits, Aravindan, I'd love to share a few of my time-saving tips with you for your vacation:
    • By utilizing mobile ordering through the My Disney Experience app at quick-service restaurants you'll be able to grab your meal at a specified time without waiting in line!
    • Familiarize yourself with the My Disney Experience app before arrival. This will allow you to quickly navigate the parks as you move between maps showing the locations of attractions, restrooms, and dining (and so much more).
    • Arrive early and stay late! Wait times are typically lower shortly after theme parks open and just before they close for the evening as tinier Mouseketeers often lack the stamina for longer park days.
I hope this information is helpful for you, Aravindan, and that Mickey will see ya real soon! If you're in need of further assistance as you continue to plan, feel free to stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
