Congratulations Taylor!
Welcome to planDisney. The last time I was at Walt Disney World Resort, I was in my first trimester, and walking from the parking lot to
Disney’s Hollywood Studios front gate was a lot. Accommodating your precious Baby Mine is so important, so I am honored to help you plan your days at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
The best way to know if a ride is cleared for you and your growing bump is to look at the signage outside of the ride. All rides that are not recommended for expectant mothers have
Expectant Mother Advisories. You can classify most restricted rides as thrill rides and any rides with drops in them. That leaves a lot of notable options for mommies-to-be, including one of my favorites,
Haunted Mansion,
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railroad, and
Toy Story Mania. Although these rides are deemed suitable for pregnant riders, I highly suggest talking to your doctor before heading on your trip. Every pregnancy is as special and unique as a Disney Princess; Walt Disney World’s recommendations are based on a healthy average pregnancy. Your doctor will advise you on what is safest for you and your little one. Also, as Mother Gothel (I never thought I would quote her) says, “Mother knows best.” You know what your body can handle, so keep an eye on what feels right to you. For example,
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure does not have an Expectant Mother Advisory, but since I am prone to nausea still, I avoid it and all rides with motion sickness advisories. If you hop on a ride and you don’t feel great afterward, “Do the next right thing” and take a snack/rest break. Your body needs a lot more breaks than your typical Disney vacation so make sure you are giving yourself space and time to rest so you can enjoy your entire vacation. This is the perfect time to eat every snack you want without judgment, and I always recommend taking advantage of that. Just stay hydrated and cool; I’m sure your trip will be a magical memory to share with your little Disney Prince or Princess when they arrive.
Please reach out if you have any other questions while planning your trip.
I hope you are enjoying your pregnancy and have a Magical Day!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
