Hi there, Darlene!
Welcome to
planDisney, and congratulations on your pregnancy! I’m so glad you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. I visited the
Disneyland Resort theme parks during various stages of pregnancy with both of my little ones (most memorably, four weeks before my daughter was born!) and was able to enjoy many attractions safely and comfortably.
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how many attractions you’ll be able to experience as a pregnant mom. However, there are a handful of thrill rides in each theme park that pregnant women are advised to avoid. Please visit the
Attractions page on
Disneyland.com and select the Expectant Mothers Advisory box under the Accessibility & Advisories tab. This will generate a list of attractions you should not ride while pregnant in the interest of your baby’s safety.
When I was pregnant and exploring the theme parks, it helped to plan some downtime into our days. Listen to your body and be sure to take frequent breaks to enjoy a cold drink or snack out of the sun. There is a
First Aid location in each theme park if you start feeling unwell or just need a quiet place to cool off. A complete ride on the
Disneyland Railroad offers about 20 minutes of shade and fresh air, with the added benefit of a relaxing, scenic trip around the park from the comfort of your seat!
I hope these tips help you have a wonderful trip, Darlene. Please ask us any other questions you can dream of as you continue planning your pixie-dusted vacation!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
