If we want to make a pregnancy announcement at the park can we bring our ultrasound pictures and pose with the characters? I know they cannot hold your items but can they pose with you holding the ultrasound or make gestures for the announcement pictures?

    Hi Cody!

Welcome to planDisney, and congratulations!  A trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is the perfect way to celebrate a future Mouseketeer joining your family.  I had the chance to celebrate two of my pregnancies with visits to Walt Disney World Resort and have such wonderful memories from those trips!

Cody, I can't think of a better way to announce your pregnancy to family and friends than with pictures from your visit.  Typically, characters cannot hold your personal items for photos, but you may be able to pose with Disney friends while holding the ultrasound photo yourself.  I would suggest speaking with the Cast Member serving as the character attendant to confirm available options before your interaction, as they manage the specific meet-and-greet experience.  If they are unable to accommodate the ultrasound photo in your picture, they'll likely be able to share a few quick alternatives to help you capture a very memorable moment!

One of my panelist pals, Lizzie, recently celebrated her little one's anticipated arrival with a visit to Walt Disney World and a Capture Your Moment session at Magic Kingdom Park.  The photos taken that day were amazing, and Disney PhotoPass even shared one on their Instagram page!  While these photo sessions do not include characters, they are incredibly personalized and may be another option to consider.  The session fee does not include digital downloads of the photos, but if you've purchased Memory Maker for your trip, photos from the Capture Your Moment session will be included with that purchase.  Even though it is close to your arrival, you can check for reservations online as spots may still be available and/or plans may change for other Guests.

As you finalize plans for your trip, I thought I'd share a few additional tips for visiting Walt Disney World while pregnant, including how to find which rides have expectant mother advisories and some souvenir ideas for your little Mouseketeer!

I hope this information has been helpful, Cody, and that you have the best time celebrating this very special occasion!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!

    Cheers!
    Kristi
