We have preferred room at Pop Century for week of June 16, my 86 yr old mom is coming but not going to parks, she needs to be as close to dining area as she will be just relaxing around the hotel. Which room should we request as she has limited mobility.

    Hi Janet,

I'm so pleased that your mother will be able to join you during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.  There is plenty of magic to be experienced by guests of all ages.

If you have reserved a preferred room at Disney's Pop Century Resort, you've already taken the right action to ensure a room close to the resort's centralized amenities.  Preferred rooms are located within 500 feet of Classic Hall.  That's where you'll find the Everything Pop food court, the Guest Services desk, and the resort gift shop.  The bus stops are right in front of Classic Hall.

If I were you, I'd also call the Disney travel office (or the travel agent through whom you booked your vacation) and ask them to add a request to your reservation.  Let them know that you'll be traveling with a senior citizen with mobility issues and ask for a room as close to Classic Hall as possible.  I would also request a room in the 1960s building.  I think she'll really enjoy some time lounging around the Hippy Dippy Pool there.

Let us know if you need any additional advice as you plan your trip.  We'd be happy to assist you!
