    1. Preferred Parking. Are these parking lots such that you walk to the gate or can you still use a tram. My mom is not handicap but is 82 trying to minimize walking until we get in the parks.

Hello, Sheila, welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You'll be pleased to hear that Walt Disney World Resort Parking offers 'Preferred Parking' areas located closer to the Theme Park main entrances. Please note, that parking at Magic Kingdom Park still requires a short walk from the Preferred Parking to the Transportation and Ticket Center in order to board either a Monorail or Ferryboat to the main entrance of the theme park. Keeping your mother in mind, may I suggest taking the Ferryboat to Magic Kingdom Park because to ride the Monorail, you would have to walk up a walkway to the Monorail platform boarding area which may be strenuous.

Sheila, if you pay for parking at any Disney Theme Park, any other park visited that same day will not incur an added fee, simply retain your parking ticket for the remaining Disney Theme Parks you wish to visit on that same day. Provided you have the Park Hopper Option on your Theme Park Tickets, you may wish to utilize Disney's complimentary transportation system via Monorail, Water or Bus to travel to your desired Theme Park.

If you are a Disney Resort hotel Guest, then one of the many benefits include complimentary 'standard' parking at the Disney Theme Parks for the length of your Resort hotel stay.

    Best Disney Wishes!
