    Is there a preferred floor/room to stay on at the Animal Kingdom Lodge? Savannah view bunk room. Also, I am unclear how the Fantasmic/dinner package works. I reserved Hollywood Brown Derby 4:15 but the show is at 7. Is VIP seating the only advantage? Thx

    Hi Elena,

    I love the Animal Kingdom Lodge! You are going to absolutely love the intricate details and there is nothing quite like waking up to animals off your balcony in the morning. My favorite section to stay in is the "Zebra Trail", close to the main lobby. I like the upper level rooms (3rd or 4th floor) as the views are great. If there is one "negative" at all about the Animal Kingdom Lodge it is that some rooms are located a long way from the lobby. The resort is shaped somewhat like a horseshoe with the lobby in the middle. The rooms at the far end can be quite a walk which is hard at the end of a long park day. If you were to have one primary request honored, I recommend that it be that you request to be as close to the lobby elevators as possible. I have stayed close to the lobby and I've stayed at the absolute opposite end and makes a significant difference with kids.

    The Fantasmic Dining Package is a great deal. You will get priority entrance to the show in the center section of seats. Fantasmic is an extremely popular show and the wait time is often 60 - 90 minutes + without the passes. Even then, you aren't guaranteed a seat. With the passes, you can arrive 30 minutes before show time and you'll have excellent seats. This alone makes the package a "must do" if you don't want to spend an excessive amount of time in a long line.
