What are some of the preferred dining places for a person with celiacs?

    Hi Joanie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

One of my friends was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease and she described her trip last summer to Walt Disney World Resort as “pure magic”, not only because of how much fun she had with her two boys but also because of how many things she was able to eat during her short stay!

I’m pleased to say that every single Walt Disney World Resort restaurant has some excellent gluten free options for you that will satisfy the dietary restrictions associated with Celiac. In fact, most table service restaurants have special allergy-friendly menus and alternate meal options that will allow you to make the perfect choice for your upcoming meal. Select quick service locations also offer allergy-free menus and other meal options that will work for you. Please indicate any dietary requirements or allergies when you arrive at your chosen dining location.

As for specific recommendations, my friend swears by the gluten free pizza that she had at Pinocchio Village Haus at Magic Kingdom Park (and I quote: “that was the best gluten-free pizza I’ve ever had”). She also had great meals at steakhouses such as Le Cellier Steakhouse at Epcot and at ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you need any other help planning your Disney Parks vacation!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
