Hi Melissa! When booking a
Fort Wilderness Campground Campsite you will have several choices in the
Campsites. The loops are split into four categories, Partial, Full, Preferred, and Premium.
The partial campsites are basically those designated to the campers in tents and small pop up trailers. Those loops are 1500 and 2000. The Full campsites are designated that due to their location. They are the furthest loops from the main Fort Wilderness areas and are loops 1600, 1700, 1800, and 1900. The pads are half gravel and half concrete so bigger rigs will have wheels on both of the surfaces.
The Preferred campsites which you ask about are loops 100, 200, and 300. These were the original campsite loops built and are thus close to the marina, Trails End, and Pioneer Hall. However, the pads are shorter and roads a bit smaller so getting the bigger longer RVs in can be a test of wills.
The most popular loops are the Premium loops which were built with the big new RV's in mind. They are complete concrete pads that can easily fit a 45' vehicle with multiple slides. They also have heavier and upgraded picnic tables.
The loops will all provide you with water, sewer, and power. Cable and Internet access is available as well. Picnic tables and grills add to the site amenities. Fort Wilderness is a great resort to stay in for your Disney vacation!
