Happiest Place on Earth soon, and it sounds like you're a pro at planning. You've enlisted everyone's favorite Genie to help, so your visit will surely be a wish come true!
As you probably know,
Genie+ Service allows you to choose attractions throughout your park day and use the special Lightning Lane entrances to shorten your wait time. It really is like finding magic in a bottle! I did a little research and see that
Splash Mountain will be closed during your visit for its exciting reimagining as Tiana's Bayou Adventure. I also found that
Matterhorn Bobsleds will be closing soon for routine scheduled maintenance, and no reopening date has been announced.
I know you're disappointed that some attractions may not be open during your trip, but Disneyland Resort tries to stagger closures so that only a few things are closed at the same time. These closures are the best way to keep all the fantastic attractions we love bright and fresh for guests, so even though it makes me sad when a favorite isn't available, I know it will return better than ever!
You'll be able to use Genie+ on all attractions that are open when you visit, Brandon, but no special allowances will be made for rides that are closed for refurbishment. If you have an attraction booked and it goes down unexpectedly, you'll probably get a Multiple Experiences pass to use on other designated attractions. If that should happen, remember to click "See Redemption Details" on the pass to see what attractions are included.
I want to leave you with some good news! Did you know that Genie+ includes
complimentary PhotoPass photos for your entire day? I love having our entire party in our pictures, and using the PhotoPass photographers ensures that our memories will include everyone. To find photo spots in both theme parks, tap the map icon at the bottom of the
Disneyland Mobile App, then tap the dropdown arrow at the top and sort by PhotoPass. Smile for the camera!
