Hi there, Rebecca, and welcome to planDisney!
In just a few days, your family will step into the magic, and I am more than happy to help answer your question about the
Disability Access Service (DAS). Guests who have trouble standing for long periods of time find that DAS is an amazingly helpful way to enjoy attractions without worrying about waiting in longer queues.
Currently, residents of Great Britain are not able to pre-register online for DAS. However, do keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog. You never know when some pixie dust will be sprinkled your way. I would love to one day see this updated for my international pals.
Once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, on your first theme park day, visit Guest Services. This is located near the front of each of the four theme parks. There, you'll want to speak to a friendly Cast Member who will determine if you are qualified for using DAS. They will also set up your first Lightning Lane return time window. While this process does take some time out of your day, I've personally never waited longer than ten minutes to complete this process.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you qualify, the DAS benefits are good for the entirety of your trip (unless you'll be here for longer than 60 days--if so, lucky you!). By the way, once your first DAS selection is made, you'll be able to make your following selections on your own using the
My Disney Experience App's DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool.
Rebecca, I know this was probably not the answer you were looking for, but I just know that you'll have the most magical visit. I'm excited for you! If you have any other questions as you gear up for your holiday,
revisit us here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
