Hiya Joanne!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by to ask us this magical question! One of my favourite things about the Disney parks is that
everyone can enjoy the Disney magic no matter their needs or backgrounds. I am glad you are looking into this option so that your whole party can enjoy the magic together!
There are two ways to sign up for the
Disability Access Service (DAS): in person with a Guest Relations Cast Member or online using the
live video chat feature. Unfortunately, the live video chat option is currently only available for US residents. However, this does not mean it is entirely unavailable to non-US residents! Indeed, you will be able to use this service upon landing in Florida, so you can sign up for the Disability Access Service once you arrive at your Resort! Otherwise, you can simply stop by Guest Relations on your way into the theme parks, and they will also be able to help. There are also two types of ride selections that can be made, and both are available regardless of if you sign up in person or online. Ride selections can be made in advance and in-person after tapping into your theme park reservation. Advance selections can be made up to two days at the latest, but they can still be made in person with a Guest Relations Cast Member.
Now, Joanne, did you know that you will be arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort at an especially magical time of year? Indeed, the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be kicking off its 2022 season on July 14th, 2022, so you can visit the new booths on your visit to EPCOT! If you are a big foodie like me, I highly recommend that you take a look at the
Disney Parks Blog foodie guide and pick up a festival passport on your way into EPCOT. That way, you can make a list of all the offerings you would like to try. Also, the first
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party will kick off the spooky season on August 12th, 2022, so I hope you got your special tickets! Not only do these events have special themed offerings such as fireworks and a parade, but you also get to experience your favourite attractions with reduced wait times. Plus, what could be more magical than getting dressed up and trick-or-treating at Magic Kingdom Park?
I hope this was helpful, Joanne, and that you will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your holiday, please don't hesitate to reach out. You're as welcome as can be!
As Remy would say: "À bientôt et bon appétit!"
