Ahoy there, Stanley! Welcome aboard planDisney! I'm glad you sailed my way with this question about prepaying gratuities on your upcoming sailing! I remember March in the mid-Atlantic, so I definitely know escaping winter's long tail is a perfect plan!
As someone who typically likes paying the gratuities while onboard, I actually have never prepaid them before! So to help with your answer, I sailed on over to chat with a crew member who was able to confirm that you can definitely make the payment for prepaid gratuities with a Disney Gift Card!
Even better, did you know that once your reservation is booked, you can now pre-pay your gratuities directly on the
Disney Cruise Line website? It's as simple as hitting the water after falling overboard - which, for the record, is something I 100-percent do NOT recommend you do!
From the "
My Reservations" page, Guests can select "Add Pre-Paid Gratuities" to view more information about gratuities and elect to pay for these gratuities prior to their voyage if they wish! Talk about one less thing to worry about! I may just start doing this myself on our next sailing!
Thank you so much for your question, Stanley! Not only did you teach this old salt something new, but you've got all the makings of a sailor yourself! If you have any other questions - or new routes to mark on my old maps - please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Fair winds and following seas!
Andrew
