Budgeting for my Disney cruise is one of the best strategies to keep myself accountable for my vacation. I also like knowing all that I’m paying for ahead of time, because it helps me budget for future vacation expenses (such as all those awesome Disney cruise souvenirs!). Part of that budgeting includes pre-paying gratuities. I would be happy to share how you can prepay your gratuities for your upcoming Disney cruise.
Disney Cruise Line recommends a gratuity amount of $16.00 per stateroom guest, per day of the cruise. You have the option of pre-paying
this amount before your cruise, as you would like to do, or the recommended gratuity will be automatically added to your onboard account during your sailing.
If you reserved your Disney cruise with a travel agent, they will have to add the pre-paid gratuities for you. However, if you reserved the cruise through Disney Cruise Line, you can add the pre-paid gratuities to your reservation.
To pre-pay the gratuities, log in to your reservation either on the Disney Cruise Line website or on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, and follow the prompts when clicking on “Add Pre-Paid Gratuities”. Then, that’s it! You’re all set, and the gratuities for your cruise are paid for!
If you would like to modify your gratuities on board for a Crew Member who showed you extra love and support (which happens often!), you can head to the
Guest Services Desk to adjust the amount. You will also receive the customary tip envelopes on the final night of your voyage, in case you want to add extra pixie dust for any of the Crew Members who took care of you.
