Hello, Gary!
Welcome back to planDisney. I am glad
my friend Shannon was able to answer your other questions. She is like a Fairy Godmother, always knowing the perfect tips for a magical vacation aboard the Disney Cruise Line!
I am delighted to talk about giving gratuities to the fantastic Crew Members! The wonderful Crew Members are part of the reason my family loves sailing on the Disney Cruise Line. They go above and beyond to ensure each Guest has an incredible vacation. Guests can pre-pay gratuities on the
Disney Cruise Line website at least three days before their departure date under "Already Booked" at the top of the page. Select "My Reservations" and follow the instructions under "Pre-Paid Gratuities" (or ask for assistance from your travel agent if they booked your trip).
You can also provide additional gratuities if you would like to show extra appreciation to specific Crew Members towards the end of your cruise. For example, some of my family members have food allergies. I am always grateful to the dining room team for organizing delicious, allergy-friendly options for each meal. I typically tip them more than the recommended amounts because they play important roles in our wonderful family vacations.
Some services are not included in the pre-paid gratuities, such as room service, adult dining locations, and the Concierge Lounge Team. Guests staying in Concierge accommodations are recommended a gratuity amount of $8.00 per night, per stateroom Guest, for the Concierge Lounge Team. I also bring smaller bills to tip on room service orders (room service is generally complimentary!). Additional information about other services not included in the pre-paid gratuities can be found on the
Disney Cruise Line gratuities page.
Gary, thank you again for contacting planDisney. We hope to see you real soon!
Happy sailing!
Jen
