Hello Nicola,
Welcome to planDisney! As your August summer holiday to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort approaches, I'm so glad you've taken the time to stop by with such a great question for us to help you with today.
Nicola, it's bibbidi-bobbidi-brilliant to hear you've already been busy planning what's sure to be a practically perfect in every way holiday to the most magical place on earth.
I don't mind telling you that in my own family's experience of visiting
Walt Disney World Resort with a close relative living with a hidden, or cognitive disability, I feel sure that just like us, you'll find the
Disability Access Service (DAS) to be an invaluable addition to your family's precious time spent within the Disney Theme Parks.
I'm happy to share that those lucky Guests who've used the all-new DAS Advance service have typically (subject to availability), been able to select and book up to 2 x DAS Advance selections for each day of their visit to the Disney Theme Parks.
However, please know that at this time, those DAS Advance selections are only valid for use on the date selected, and for during the 1-hour time slot chosen, and unfortunately, are not transferrable.
Nicola, as the current
UK-based planDisney Panelist, I've had plenty of experience of taking that long transatlantic flight to Orlando International Airport and then transferring to my
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Therefore, I know that sometimes, even as a die-hard Disney fan myself, I'm far too tired to venture out to a Disney Theme Park on my arrival day!
I've found it better to get a good night's rest and start bright-eyed and bushy-tailed the next morning by taking advantage of the inevitable jet lag we Brits usually suffer upon arrival in to the United States of America.
I hope I've been able to provide a little guidance and insight for you today Nicola. Now, all that remains is for me to wish you and your family a totally tiggerific upcoming
August holiday to Walt Disney World Resort.Have a great Disney day ~
Jane
