Can you pre book a FASTPASS at Disneyland the same as at Disney World? Or can you only get the fastpass on the day of your visit at Disneyland?

    Hi Amanda!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. For frequent visitors of Walt Disney World Resort, things certainly operate a little differently at Disneyland Resort, but there is something truly magical about being at the park that Walt built!

For Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, you'll find that FASTPASS works quite a bit different from when you've visited Mickey on the East Coast. You will still use FASTPASS to reserve a return time to some of the most popular attractions in the parks! Unlike Walt Disney World Resort though, these are made the day of your visit. If you choose to add Disney MaxPass onto your ticket, you'll be able to book your FASTPASS directly from the Disneyland Mobile App after you scan entry into the park each day. As soon as you enter, regardless of which park you enter, you'll be able to make reservations for both parks. If you choose not to utilize MaxPass, you can still use the Disneyland Mobile App to look up which attractions offer FASTPASS, but you'll need to physically scan at the attraction to receive a return time.

While I understand this may feel a little unnerving for someone that's familiar with planning 30 to 60 days in advance, I promise you'll find it to be very easy to use! I usually find that I am able to use many more FASTPASS each day at Disneyland Resort when using Disney MaxPass than I am in my visits to Walt Disney World Resort! Please come back and see us real soon if we can help in any other way.
